About your tutor:

Jenni Cadman is a local artist and maker, who draws and paints with threads using her sewing machine, making artworks infused with colour, texture and bold graphic lines. Some pieces are freely stitched in delicate and fluid lines, others are constructed of many individual stitches that are solidly stitched or combined with fabrics to form rich painterly surfaces.

Jenni’s one-off textile pictures, wall panels and hangings have been shown widely in solo and group exhibitions. She is featured in a new publication 50 Dorset Makers a new initiative of Dorset Visual Arts which celebrates the rich ecology of makers in Dorset.

She has twenty-two years experience as a visiting tutor for colleges, schools and Embroidery Guilds specialising in appliqué and free machine embroidery.
